Save the date! Geauga’s premier Home and Garden Show will kick-start your long-awaited spring. Friday, March 22, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., and Saturday, March 23, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. are the dates for this fabulous expo!
This grand event has been in existence since 2006. It was that year when Paul Wengerd, a recently married, young Amish man, inexperienced but visionary, decided to move his fledging shed-building company off his home property to a location on Madison Road where he would partner with his brother Marvin. “Like so many others, I started this company in my garage,” says Wengerd. “At the time we called the business Huntsburg Minibarns, but when we moved it to the Madison Road property, there was a row of pine trees – and we craft amazing sheds, ergo the name Pine Craft Storage Barns.”
First order of business … was to hold a grand opening. Once announced, Wengerd was approached by Andy Byler of O.A.R. Vinyl Window Co. to share in the festivities. A half dozen other local business set up displays for the occasion as well. This event was so successful, it eventually outgrew the location on Madison Road.
This year for the sixth year The Geauga Home and Garden Show will take place at and be presented by The Heritage Marketplace on 15848 Nauvoo Road, just north of Middlefield. Under 2,700 sq. ft., more than 80 vendors will display every product pertinent to your home and garden.
“I have been told, repeatedly,” says Wengerd. “The reason the vendors and attenders are so supportive of this event is the relaxed, fun atmosphere.” The Geauga Home and Garden Show vendors represent area producers, builders, suppliers and retailers. This event gives attendees a comprehensive shopping experience, and it’s timed perfectly for a homeowner’s spring spruce up. Area shoppers come away from the show inspired, with ideas for décor, landscaping, and they can purchase the products to get the job done.
This unique show is set in the heart of northeast Ohio’s Amish country, so not only do you get a taste of the newest home building and renovation offerings; you can choose from the area’s finest craftsman, and all are in one complex in two huge buildings.
By mid-March, you’ll be itching to get out of the house to shop from all these great suppliers: roofers, builders, finishers, and you’ll be on the hunt for floorers, painters, yard and lawn equipment, garden accents, home décor and so much more.
Not to mention, enjoy an opportunity to enter a free drawing for lawn furniture, a silent auction and lots of valuable door prizes. And … you can enter to win a large storage building brought to you by Pine Craft Storage Barns!
